--- Weather & Storm Chasing Background ---

Like many other weather enthusiasts, I became interested in weather at a young
age. During my years of growing up in rural / small town Iowa, I witnessed
many different aspects of weather, from terrible blizzards to severe storms.
Once in high school, I became interested in photograhy and often went out
and photographed mother nature at her best & worst. During my junior
year in High School, I took my first skywarn class from the NWSFO DMX.
During the next few years, I continued as a weather spotter and
photographer. Not untill 1999, did I start "chasing" storms around the area.
In 2002, I was one of the first members to join the Mid-Iowa Skywarn Association.
As of today, I've chased in just about every state around Iowa. Along with
chasing, I also promote severe weather education by talking with different
groups around the Central Iowa area.

--- Amateur Radio Background ---

In the spring of 2000, I obtained my Technician Class Amatuer Radio License
and in late 2000 took the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) level 1 class.
My call sign is KØSVR.

--- Other Interests ---

I currently work as a Full Time Paramedic for Fraser Medical Services, located
in Des Moines, Iowa. In my off time, which is about 3-4 days/week, I enjoy
my hobby of photography, watching Nascar, and SLEEPING! :-)
